Crawl space encapsulation seals and insulates a home’s crawl space to protect both it and the home from water and other types of damage. When a crawl space is encapsulated, a vapor barrier and other materials are installed to create a sealed enclosure around and within the crawl space.

By sealing off the space from the outside air, encapsulating a crawl space improves energy efficiency, and this will save energy and reduce heating and cooling costs. Encapsulation can improve indoor air quality by preventing the circulation of mold spores and other pollutants.
